Question:
Something's wrong here?

What can I do about my 17-year old sister?

She uses my stuff ALL the time. She wears my coat, she wears my hoodies, takes my jewelry, my soap... everything and I really don't mind because why should I ?

But every damn time I go to use something of hers she either hides it or takes it away and holds onto it so I can't use it. I know she gets this kind of behaviour from my mom but what can I do to break her of it? Anything? I've tried reasoning "If you're not using it, why can't I?" and "If you don't share, you don't get shared with." - things like that and she'll just tell me to shut up and leave. It's not like I mistreat her things so it really pisses me off every time she does this kind of stuff.

join the club, my sister does the same to me, she's allowed to take and use everything of mine, but the momnet i do the same she has a fit

it's part of her being younger, feels she's entitled to it

i hide my stuff, or as soon as i see her using my stuff i take it away

otherwise there's not much u can do

She's being very mean; lock your stuff up from now on, and tell her that if she doesn't share, she won't get to borrow your stuff anymore. You're sisters, you should be able to share things with each other easily. Try talking to her first though, explain how you feel and why you think she's being unfair.

It could also be a phase or maybe something else is going on. 17 is a tough age.

i have 2 sisters. One is my size, and we get along and if i was caught wearing a shirt of hers, she was cool with it. She knows i take care of things. And when she needs to borrow something, i'm putting my clothes out to see what she likes :) My OTHER sister is waaaay taller then us. So i flipped out when i saw her wearing my shorts or shirts or somthing, so i put a lock on my door. i use a key to open it. You can find a new door knob with key entry at hardware stores, and they're easy to install. I did it myself when i was younger. It might be the only thing you can do, if she just doesn't listen or care. That'll keep her out. But make sure you keep extra copies of the key with your parents or somthin, just incase you lock ur self out >:)
