Would you do the right thing?

Would you do the right thing when it means that ultimately you are the only one who is going to get or be hurt?

It doesn't matter on what subject I mean just doing the right thing, marriage, work, friends or finances, whichever made you have to decide whether it was your burden or someone elses.

I did and to be honest it feels pretty good when I lay my head down to sleep as I know I did the right thing but it still hurts.

Choosing the hard right is not always the easiest choice to make , and yes you do sometimes get hurt yourself by making that choice , however you have to live with yourself and as long as you can close your eyes at night and sleep peacefully then you did right

interesting question. also very deep. yes, its true, you know what they say, a good deed does not go unpunished. I would rather do the right thing. I'm a very religious and superstitious person. I think that not doing the right thing will lead to punishments, from the demon. But if i do the right thing, i still will be punished sooner or later. i guess there is no end until death.

As long as some good is going to occur in the end then yes. It does matter though on the severity of the problem. However if it is something that no good would come out in the end then know. Just try to abnegate yourself from this source unless its the government... Something as indefatigable as that you mine as well get what you can get from them...

You must be one in a million! I have never met anyone who did the right thing, that didn't get a stab in the back for their good deed.

I am glad you can take comfort in it. We need more people in the world like you, only, i don't think there is anymore!

Sometimes it does hurt to do the right thing. because.. maybe you're hurting someone. but it's the right thing...

if you kept doing the wrong thing.. try imagining what it would be like if you kept going on..

it's just be a mistake you'd regret.

if you feel good about it. then it's the right thing..

Of course i'd do the right thing.. i'd never do the wrong thing on purpose.. i would on accident. but i'd never plan to the wrong thing when there's a right way.

Firstly you need to be old enough and mature enough to know that you should do the right thing.

At this time in my life I would definitley do the right thing, even if it meant i would be the one hurt.

A few years back and im not sure my answer would have been the same

I would. It is always best to do the right thing, Karma can be a pain. I commend you for being one of the few honest people out there.

You should always do the right thing. Even if you might get hurt because it's always more than just you invoved. plus someday it will be your turn for somone to do right by you. I believe what goes around comes around,

The right thing when it comes to other people? YES. The right thing towards the government who already steals all of our money? NO>

For me, even if it sucks to do the right thing (telling the truth, etc.), it feels so much better. Like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

When it is your place to step in then yes, I would do the right thing. However, there are times when it is inappropriate and people just get hurt besides yourself. : )

There is a reason it's called the "Right Thing", not the "Easy Thing".

Ultamately only you look at yourself in the mirror.

I can honestly say, I swear, that I would. I DO this. Sometimes you feel like it hurts yourself, but it was the right thing.

PLUS, good karma! Hope this helps! :D

The only person who can and will judge if you did the right thing is you. So, as long as you are comfortable with your decision, you've done the right thing.

I'm quite comfortable, thanks.
