I feel so sorry for you, I couldn't even imagine what it would be like loosing someone to cancer.. here's a site i found witch might help you get an idea. GOOD LUCK

Cancer is evil we all know this is true

But there isn't much you can do

People die and people cry

Family will always be there by your side

Look for the future and wish for the best

Never give up and fight with the rest

You never thought it could happen to you or a loved one

But when it does everything changes

Winter comes faster

And summer fades away

Oh, I hate cancer's pain

I am so sorry for your loss,their are certainly lots of beautiful poems out there,but you need to just sit down and write a poem of your own,it doesnt even have to ryme or make sense the important thing is it came from your heart,she will be looking down from heaven listening to you! God bless u

I loved her for that she was beautiful . . .

I LOVED her for that she was beautiful;

And that to me she seem'd to be all Nature,

And all varieties of things in one:

Would set at night in clouds of tears, and rise

All light and laughter in the morning; fear

No petty customs nor appearances;

But think what others only dream'd about;

And say what others did but think; and do

What others dared not do: so pure withal

In soul; in heart and act such conscious yet

Such perfect innocence, she made round her

A halo of delight. 'Twas these which won me; --

And that she never school'd within her breast

One thought or feeling, but gave holiday

To all; and that she made all even mine

In the communion of love: and we

Grew like each other, for we loved each other;

She, mild and generous as the air in spring;

And I, like earth all budding out with love.

I am sorry for your loss. Losing a child is very hard and my heart goes out to you as a mother who has lost a child.

One more for you by the same author, Philip James Bailey

We live in deeds . . .

WE live in deeds, not years; in thoughts, not breaths;

In feelings, not in figures on a dial.

We should count time by heart-throbs. He most lives

Who thinks most, feels the noblest, acts the best.

And he whose heart beats quickest lives the longest:

Lives in one hour more than in years do some

Whose fat blood sleeps as it slips along their veins.

Life's but a means unto an end; that end,

Beginning, mean, and end to all things -- God.

The dead have all the glory of the world.

Sorry for your loss. I think if you sit down and pray for God to give you the words you need to say what you need to say at the graduation he will. It doesn't need to be a poem it could be a letter maybe saying that you love her and miss her but maybe say something to her classmates for her, b/c they probably miss her very much also. God Bless u

You don't need a poem, you can just write a letter for her, what you wanna say to her right now.

Or you gather some pictures of her, and ask one of your daughter's friends to do a flash animation with them with her favourite song in it.

Anything you do, I'm sure your daughter will be guiding you in the process, and its gonna be beautiful... so, you don't worry at all :)

i'm sorry i can't give you a poem, sir/ma'am. i think you should make your own poem. a poem made by yourself expresses how you truly feel. your daughter will also be happier to know that her loving and unforgetful dad made a poem for her. even if experts won't approve of what your poem will look like, what's important is that your your daughter likes it. that's the point right? making her feel happy.

You can write it yourself put the last line you wrote in your question to start with! No one can write a poem for your child you can ,just write down your feelings and it will come together! Sorry for your loss!!! My mom died of brest cancer in 1974!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

This poem was passed onto us from a friend who also lost a child. We read this at our son's service two one week ago. I hope you find it helpful to yourself as well. I have adjusted slightly so as to apply for your daughter. Love and courage to you at the graduation.

God's Loan

"I'll lend to you for a little time,

a child of mine", He said.

"For you to love while she lives

and mourn for when she's dead".

It may be six or seven years

Or twenty-two or three,

But will you, till I call her back,

take care of her for me?

She'll bring her charms to gladden you

And should her stay be brief,

You'll have these precious memories,

As solace for your grief.

I cannot promise she will stay

Since all from earth return,

But there are lessons taught down there

I want this child to learn.

I've looked this whole world over,

In my search for teachers true

And in the crowd that throngs life's land,

I have selected you.

Now you will give her all your love

Not think the labour vain,

Nor hate me when I come to call

To take her home again?"

It seems to me I heard them say,

"Dear Lord, Thy will be done,

For all the joys your child shall bring,

The risk of grief we'll run.

We'll shelter her with tenderness,

We'll love her while we may,

And for the happiness we've known

Forever grateful stay.

And should the angels call for her

Much sooner than we've planned,

We'll brave the bitter grief that comes

And try to understand".
