What does "maybe" suppose to mean?

I brokeup with my boyfriend a month ago, and 3 days ago, hes been acting strange during class. My best friend was joking around asking him for a hug but he refuses. Suddenly he runs up to me with a very tight long squeezing hug. He was also invading my space and throwing things at me. Today, I was being nice to him and one of my friends asked him if he wants to get back with me. He does not give an answer. He says "maybe". I really miss him and don't want to lose him. It's confusing.

well maybe he is afraid to say what he is really feeling inside maybe you should tell him that you miss him and that you want him to be in your life sometimes it is better that you have a guy in your life then not having anyone at all in your life sometimes i feel like things can be easy for me but i though wrong nothing is ever going to be easy for me not with out my sister telling on me and with my mom on my but and that i just want every one to lay off for once and let me do what i want to do just make him see that you want him in your life i think he is just beating around the bush and just telling you what you want to hear i don't know i never had a guy say maybe to me before about wanting them back i say maybe to a guy i don't know if this helps just tell him what is your heart and then he will see that you are true and you want him to be in your life if that is what you want i hope every thing works out for you

"Maybe" means that he's too immature and you need to move on. If he missed you as much as you say you miss him, there would be no "maybe."
